“Expressing movement in nature”
People would tell you about me that I am in love with life, the kind of embracing of every opportunity that you only get from a near miss.
I express my passions for living in art to bring attention to the awe I feel of naturally beautiful things, but also the mundane things we sometimes take for granted, because all those moments build a life well lived.
I take my artwork very seriously, considering it my lifework, but I also want to play and experiment and express my humour.
I am primarily a 2D nature and water artist working in various media, my style is mainly representational but I like to bring something of the feeling of subjects as well, rather than trying to make pure photo-realism. I do this through leaving bold brush marks in place and invite the eye to do the blending, like a story leaves something for the reader’s imagination to fill in. Or applying the right media to help me tell the story.
I had just over a year of formal art training whilst an expat in Antwerp, Belgium (before returning to Perth) and have attended many short courses in various media to improve my skills continuously.
I have participated in various exhibitions in Perth and Regional WA, as at the time of writing have 4 more exhibitions planned for the end of 2024 to launch my work.
I am a member of Pastel Society of WA where I serve on the Media committee, and Wanneroo Joondalup Arts Society, as well as being a member of several Arts groups such as Tisch Academy and Plein Air.

I hope you find something in my original artwork that connects for you too, that you can stand there in those moments with me and say "hey yeah that really was something special about that moment".
